Our principal and founder, Vanessa Challess, is a trustee of Advance.
Advance are a women-only organisation providing free and confidential emotional and practical support to women in London. A large part of their work is crisis intervention for women who require urgent help and face imminent danger.
We share Advance’s vision of a world in which women and children lead safe, equal, violence-free lives so that they can flourish and actively contribute to society. We support their mission of saving and changing lives by working with women who experience domestic abuse to be safe and take control of their lives, and women who have committed crime or are at risk of offending to break the cycle.
The Green Phone Initiative Family Law Panel
Tiger Law’s Head of Family, Paula Tanner, is on the Only Mums & Dads Family Law panel and the Green Phone initiative.
Panel members are committed to a non-confrontational approach to family law and sign up to a code of conduct which promotes that.
Under the Green Phone initiative, victims of domestic abuse can access free advice from family law professionals. If you are being subjected to domestic abuse, you can call Paula on 01622 801208 and you won’t be charged.
Having newly taken up the position of Head of Family, Paula felt that it was important for Tiger Law to take part in this scheme to support people who had experienced domestic abuse, which has worsened during the Covid-19 pandemic and the related lockdowns. Being confined to close quarters with an abusive partner is extremely distressing and the ability to quickly and simply access advice free of charge can make a massive difference to the outcome for victims.
We are proud sponsors of TOFTigers.
We love tigers and don’t take their name for granted. TOFTigers work to preserve the Indian subcontinent’s tigers, wildlands and wildlife by developing more sustainable enterprises and providing viable long term solutions.
Wildlife populations have already shown a concerning decline , on average by 58 per cent since 1970 and are likely to reach 67 per cent by the end of the decade. (WWF Living Planet Report 2016)
TOFTigers’ collective action campaign and global alliance – with all those involved in the nature travel sector – is to find better ways to sustain the wild.
