Daisy began life at Tiger Law in our Tiger Cubs cohort before becoming Tiger Law and Tiger HR’s first Marketing Manager in January 2021.
Qualifying as a solicitor via the SQE route, Daisy completed her first period of Qualifying Work Experience during the Summer of 2021 where she gained experience in commercial law, corporate law and litigation.
An ex-insurance professional, Daisy has underwritten and advised on contracts and brings her empathetic and assertive approach to get the best outcomes for those she works with.
Daisy is a law student at the University of Essex and achieved the highest mark in the year, something she is particularly proud of considering she dropped out of sixth form due to mental health challenges. Using her lived experience for good, she advocates for a trauma-informed approach to mental health and speaks openly to promote positive change.
Her experiences of launching her own business inspired her to co-found the Essex Entrepreneurs Society, of which she is President. Additionally, she is the President of the University of Essex Commercial Law Society.
Daisy uses her experience and skills to push for progress at a grassroots level. In early 2021, Daisy campaigned in support of the introduction of basic employment laws on her home island of Alderney and called for further measures to protect workers against discrimination. As part of her work, she spoke on BBC Channel Islands News and BBC Radio Guernsey and wrote articles for local publications. She has spoken at numerous events to promote a trauma-informed approach to mental health and has called for better protection against abuse and bullying on social media, including writing an article for the Guernsey Press.
